I'm a journalist who writes about the sciences and this is a virtual scrapbook of what I do. There's an article archive, a photo gallery, science news videos and a multimedia showcase.

Lately, I've written for publications like the Scientific American Mind, simplesteps.com and Space.com. This year I wrote for Scienceline.org, a project of NYU's science journalism grad program, from which I recently graduated. I also edited Scienceline's blogs and neuroscience news.

In my pre-science life, I worked as a reporter and photographer in Costa Rica and Guatemala and published reports in The Miami Herald, Frommer's Budget Travel Online and a handful of Latin American publications.

This site is redesigned, which makes it my second foray into web design, made from scratch with Photoshop and a text editor.
